Walsh Whiskey Releases the 2019/11th Edition of The Irishman Vintage Cask

11^th Release of rare, super-premium Vintage cask strength (54% ABV) whiskey limited to just 2,346 bottles worldwide.

Carlow, Ireland – 23rd August 2019: Walsh Whiskey, has released the 2019 vintage of The Irishman Vintage Cask, a rare cask strength Irish whiskey expression. This year’s vintage is limited to 2,346 bottles worldwide.  Each bottle is uniquely numbered and signed by the company’s co-founder and Managing Director – Bernard Walsh. The Irishman Vintage Cask 2019 edition is the 11^th release since 2008, when it was the first triple-distilled Cask Strength Irish whiskey released in over half a century.

The Irishman Vintage Cask is a unique marriage of Single Pot Still & Single Malt, matured in first-fill bourbon casks, non chill-filtered and cut to 54% ABV. It was bottled in July 2019 and is presented in an elegant wooden cask, with a dated certificate personalised by Mr Walsh. The Recommended retail price is €130/  US$140/ STG£110.

Describing the 11^th edition of The Irishman Vintage Cask, Bernard Walsh said: “We are fortunate that our annual Cask Strength releases are keenly pursued and are seen as collector’s items so, with just 2,346 bottles across seven countries, they will prized-possessions for whomever secures one”.

The Irishman Cask Strength 2019 is available on a very limited basis in just 7 countries including Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain & Northern Ireland and the USA. It is also available in Travel Retail Dublin and Cork Airport.

Tasting Notes to the 2019/ 11^th Edition of The Irishman Vintage Cask

Nose: Notes of cinnamon, clove and sweet vanilla blossom.

Taste: Milk chocolate, crème caramel, medley of summer fruits and cracked black pepper.

Finish: A long and satisfying finish.
